Lights, camera… Disney!
Ages 8-12
Campers should be entering grades 4-7 in the fall
Have you ever dreamed of becoming the next Disney star? In Next Disney Star Acting Camp, performers step into the spotlight as they bring scenes from their favorite movies and shows to life, from Disney Plus, Netflix, and beyond!
Throughout the week, campers will explore acting for both stage and screen while rehearsing fun scenes inspired by beloved stories. They’ll develop characters, practice expressive acting, and learn how to perform with confidence just like the stars they see on screen.
Activities may include:
- Acting scenes inspired by favorite movies and characters
- Character development and expressive acting exercises
- Improving your acting skills to prepare for auditions and future opportunities
- Acting games and improvisation activities|
- Possible music videos or video skits
- A magical showcase performance for family and friends
WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING
*Campers should wear comfortable clothing
*We may send a list home on the first or second day of outfits to bring from home for our music video or video sketches. These should be items easily found in your closet, and not things that need to be purchased.
*All campers should bring a water bottle labeled with their name and a snack for each am and pm session.
*Full day campers should bring a sack lunch.
IS THERE A PERFORMANCE?
Yes! Each camp week concludes with a fun and low-pressure “Show & Share” during the final 30 minutes of camp on Friday. Campers will share a sampling of the material they’ve been working on throughout the week.
This informal performance is designed to celebrate the campers’ creativity and hard work while giving families a glimpse of the fun they had all week.
Campers are encouraged to plan a fun outfit to wear for the showcase. Costumes are not required, however, everyone should plan to wear closed toe shoes on stage.
No tickets are required, and family and friends are welcome to attend.
Show & Share Times:
• Morning Camps: Friday at 11:30 AM
• Afternoon Camps: Friday at 3:00 PM
If your child is enrolled in Full Day Camp, you are welcome to attend either showcase or both. However, please note that the afternoon showcase will include highlights from both the morning and afternoon camps, so families attending only the afternoon presentation will still see everything.
CAMP FOCUS: Acting based camp. May have minor dancing in a music video (optional) and lip synching.
