NEXT LEVEL INTENSIVE

Next Level Intensive is a focused training program for students who want to strengthen their acting, singing, and audition technique while preparing for upcoming productions and competitions.
In this intensive workshop, performers will work on building a polished audition portfolio while developing the skills needed to stand out in auditions and performances. Students will learn how to select and prepare songs, make strong acting choices, and bring characters to life with confidence and authenticity.
Campers will also explore practical audition skills including cold reads, monologues, and callback technique, while receiving individualized coaching to help refine their stage presence and performance choices.
Through hands-on coaching and guided practice, students will gain the tools they need to walk into auditions feeling confident, prepared, and ready to shine.

While each week offers valuable training on its own, the full 4-week series is designed as a complete journey. Students who attend all sessions will build a strong audition portfolio, refine their performance skills, and gain the confidence to walk into auditions fully prepared.

Students may register for individual weeks or the full 4-week series.
To get the most out of the program, we recommend enrolling in all 4 sessions, as each week builds on the next.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING
*Campers should wear comfortable clothing as we will be doing movement/choreography each day
*Bring a notebook and pencil/pen to each session for notetaking
*Bring a water bottle labeled with their name and a snack for each session
WHAT TO EXPECT EACH WEEK
Week 1: JUNE 8 – Finding Your Material & Building Your Portfolio
Focus: What should I sing? What represents me best?
This week is all about helping performers discover and select the right material. Students will explore song choices that fit their voice, type, and personality while beginning to build a strong audition portfolio.
Skills Covered:
• How to choose age-appropriate audition songs
• Finding your “type” and casting range
• Building a balanced audition book (ballad, uptempo, etc.)
• Introduction to sheet music and tracks
• Creating a personalized audition portfolio
Week 2: JUNE 15 – Vocal Performance & Song Interpretation
Focus: How do I make my song stand out?
This week dives into vocal delivery, storytelling, and making strong acting choices within a song.
Skills Covered:
• Breaking down lyrics and storytelling through song
• Emotional connection and character choices
• Vocal dynamics and phrasing
• Facial expressions and focus
• Avoiding “standing and singing”
Week 3: JUNE 22 – Audition Technique & Cold Reads
Focus: What happens in the audition room?
This week prepares students for the acting side of the audition, especially cold reads and callbacks.
Skills Covered:
• How to slate and present yourself professionally
• What to do with your hands, body, and movement
• Cold reads and script work
• Monologue basics
• Callback technique and adjustments
Week 4: JUNE 29 – Mock Auditions & Performance Polish
Focus: Put it all together.
Students apply everything they’ve learned in a mock audition setting, receiving feedback and refining their performance.

• Performing audition cuts with confidence
• Taking direction and making quick adjustments
• Stage presence and polish
• Individual feedback and coaching
• Final performance or mock audition showcase
