Learn how to teach, choreograph, direct, and lead the next generation of performers.

 Step into the role of a leader with our hands-on Creative Team Intensive, designed for students interested in teaching, choreographing, directing, and working behind the scenes in theatre.

Participants will learn how to assist dance and musical theatre classes, develop lesson plans, support younger performers, and create choreography for different age groups. Students will also explore the fundamentals of stage management, rehearsal leadership, and directing.

Through mentorship and real classroom experience, participants gain the confidence and practical skills needed to grow as leaders in the performing arts.

Standout students may earn opportunities to assist classes, choreograph, stage manage, or help teach during our upcoming season at Studio 3 and Limelight.

The first day of the intensive focuses on building a strong foundation in teaching and leadership. Students will learn essential skills including lesson planning, age-appropriate choreography and activities, classroom management, and how to lead with confidence.

Starting as early as Day 2, participants will step into the studio as student teachers, gaining real, hands-on experience working with younger campers. Through guided mentorship, group discussions, and reflection, students will continue to grow their leadership skills while learning how to adapt, communicate, and lead in a real classroom setting.

This intensive is designed for both new and returning students. Even if you have participated before, we encourage you to continue your training—great instructors are always growing! Each year, we introduce new material, fresh strategies, and more advanced leadership opportunities to help students continue to develop their skills.
